Spy Pics: New Mahindra Mojo Spotted Testing
Mahindra 2-Wheelers is testing a new variant of its flagship offering, the Mojo.
Mahindra 2-Wheelers is testing a new variant of its flagship offering, the Mojo. The motorcycle misses out on dual exhaust setup and expected to be cheaper.
Motorbeam has spotted the new variant of Mojo testing in Pune. There are no cosmetic changes on the motorcycle. But the spotted motorcycle was equipped with only one exhaust pipe and a thinner rear tyre.
It looks like Mahindra has ditched the twin exhaust setup to cut cost. Apart from that, the rest of the motorcycle remains unchanged, It features twin headlamps, upside down front forks and LED tail light.
The Mahindra Mojo draws power from a 295cc single cylinder, liquid cooled; fuel injected engine producing 27bhp and 30Nm of torque. The new Mojo is likely to get carburettor and power figures may drop marginally. The engine is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle comes with 21-litre fuel tank, and Pirelli tyres are likely to be missed on the cheaper variant.
Currently, the Mojo is priced at Rs 1.65 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). But the new variant is likely to carry a price tag of Rs 1.45 lakh and expected to be launched in November 2017. The flagship offering from Mahindra will rival the likes of KTM Duke 250, Bajaj Dominar 400 and Royal Enfield Himalayan.
DriveSpark Thinks!
The new variant of Mahindra Mojo will lose the twin exhaust setup. Although this is not a deal breaker, the single exhaust pipe hampers the looks of the motorcycle. But Mahindra is trying to make the Mojo affordable and increase the sales volume.
