Two-wheeler manufacturer Royal Enfield posted strong sales performance in January 2017. Despite the recent effect of demonetisation in the country, Royal Enfield managed to record healthy sales.
Royal Enfield sold a total of 59,676 units in January 2017 compared to the 47,710 units in the same period last year. Therefore recording a positive growth of 25 percent.
The year-to-date sales figure for 2016-17 stood at 5,35,821 units as compared to the 4,01,165 units in 2015-16, hence recording a positive growth of 34 percent.
In the domestic market, Royal Enfield sold 58,133 units in the month of January 2017 against the 47,140 units in January 2016 and witnessed an impressive growth of 23 percent.
Royal Enfield also excelled in the export department, the company exported 1,543 units in the month of January 2017 compared to the 570 units in January 2016. The exports registered a massive growth of 171 percent.
The exports also saw a huge growth in year-to-date sales with 12,117 units in 2016-17 compared to the 6,513 units in 2015-16. A total growth of 86 percent.
