Royal Enfield Unveils Two New Custom Builds: Gentleman Brat And Surf Racer

Customisation and Royal Enfield are synonymous with every biker who owns an RE. The iconic brand has been at the forefront when it comes to modifications from its stable as well.

Royal Enfield has partnered with Sinroja Motorcycles, who is based out of Leicester, UK. The custom shop has built two motorcycles: Gentleman Brat based on the Royal Enfield Himalayan and Surf Racer based on the Continental GT.

The company showcased the motorcycles at the fifth edition of the Wheels and Waves Festival, Europe's landmark surfing and motorcycling event, in France between June 14-18, 2017.

Royal Enfield says the Surf Racer Continental GT is inspired by the sun and sand lifestyle. The duo of RE and Sinroja Motorcycles took the original 535cc mill of the Continental GT added a higher lift cam, machined piston barrels for higher compression and a new inlet manifold. A Dellorto carb conversion sucks air, and the fumes are fired out from the under seat "jet" style tail exhaust.

The Surf Racer is suspended over the upside down forks and an under engine rear shocks. The custom shop has added 17-inch performance rims with a half floating fairing above it.

The Surf Racer coupled with simple design along with bold graphics. With an emphasis on premium material and high level of quality details, Sinroja Motorcycles hallmark is clearly evident.

The Gentleman Brat, based on the adventure tourer Himalayan, is not just serious performance but adds some fun to it. Sinroja has stripped all the extras revealing a compact riding machine. The Gentleman Brat wears 16-inch wheels with fat white wall tires, adding a muscular appeal, while cream over grey paint scheme adds a refined and premium touch.

The Chennai-based automaker in a statement said," Royal Enfield motorcycles have long been a preferred canvas for customization and self-expression. For many decades now their simple and non-fussy design language has inspired motorcycle sculptors worldwide to explore new frontiers of customisation."

Though a great looking custom builds, there was no word from RE if the Gentleman Brat and Surf Racer will go into production.

DriveSpark Thinks!

While Royal Enfield fans love the fact that the motorcycle can be customised to their personal prefences, the company has been working with certain custom shop to reveal its vision of a custom Royal Enfield. The two custom builds are indeed good looking and performance oriented as well. Having said that, Royal Enfield has been depending on its charm rather than technology, which they should address to many of its customers.
