Royal Enfield will offer new variants of the Classic 350 and 500 motorcycles. While the Royal Enfield Classic 350 gets Gun Grey as a new color option, the Classic 500 will now come in Stealth Black colour.
As per Team-BHP's leaked information of the new colours and features on the Royal Enfield Classic motorcycles, the most significant update are two new features. The Royal Enfield Classic 350 and 500 will be equipped with the swing arm from the Thunderbird.
By employing the Thunderbird's swing arm, the motorcycle can now be fitted with a rear disc brake, which is sorely missed on the Royal Enfield Classic motorcycles.
The new swing arm for the Classic 350 and 500 is expected to offer better stability and handling. Additionally, the swing arm design helps to accommodate the ABS line, making the Royal Enfield Classic future ready when ABS becomes mandatory in India from 2018.
Royal Enfield has been slow in equipping its motorcycles with modern and safety features like the disc brakes and ABS. Now with the Thunderbird's swing arm, both the Royal Enfiled Classic 350 and 500 is future ready with both rear disc brakes and much required ABS.
