The ‘Sweet’ Twin — Carberry Reveals New 1000cc Royal Enfield Engine
Royal Enfield specialist, Carberry Motorcycle has revealed a new 1000cc V-Twin engine called the ‘Double Barrel 1000’.
The Royal Enfield engine is the most simple, yet a complicated engine. One company that has managed to master the mechanicals of the RE engine is Carberry Motorcycle, who have set up shop in India now.
Most of us remember the old V-Twin 1000cc engine created by the Australian company, and now, Carberry Motorcycle has revealed a new twin-cylinder motor, called the ‘Double Barrel 1000'.
As per Carberry Motorcycle, the new 1000cc 55-degree V-Twin produces 56bhp and 108Nm of torque. The engine uses a carburettor to feed fuel but complies with BS-IV norms. A fuel injection system is in the works.
Royal Enfield too, is working on a twin-cylinder engine for its upcoming motorcycle, and a Continental GT has been spied testing on public roads. Until further news, the video of the engine being fired to life should keep one occupied.
