Through the dealerships in some of the major cities in India, the Indian Motorcycle offers its entire range, and as of now, all the models are imported to the country as completely built units (CBUs).
According to a report by ETAuto, Polaris is looking to expand its dealerships footprint and planning to assemble the Indian motorcycles in the country itself. Currently, the portfolio includes the Chief range, Springfield, Roadmaster and the Scout.
Eicher Polaris has a manufacturing facility at Jaipur in Rajasthan, which has an annual capacity of 60,000 units. The company is reportedly scouting for locations to start assembly for the Indian Motorcycle range.
