Okinawa Praise Electric Scooter Launched In India; Priced At Rs 59,889
Okinawa Praise electric scooter launched in India.
India's fastest growing electric two-wheeler manufacturer Okinawa has launched its latest electric scooter Praise in India. The Okinawa Praise is priced at Rs 59,889 ex-showroom (Delhi).
The Praise is the second product from Okinawa in the Indian market; the company had launched the Ridge electric scooter earlier this year.
The Praise electric scooter is a premium offering from Okinawa with better performance and features as compared to its younger sibling, the Ridge. The electric scooter features LED headlight across the front apron, LED DRLs and pillion backrest which gives the scooter a premium look.

The newly launched Okinawa Praise comes equipped with a 1,000-watt electric motor which produces 3.35bhp of power. The Praise can reach a top speed of 75km/h, which makes it the fastest electric scooter in India.
Okinawa claims that the scooter can deliver a range of 175km to 200km and the running cost stands at ten paise per kilometre. Currently, the Praise comes with a lead-acid battery with a charging time of six to eight hours, a lithium-ion version will be introduced in the coming months and it will be dearer by Rs 5,000 to Rs 6,000 and will have a charging time of two hours.
The premium electric scooter comes with a host of features such as a side-stand sensor, keyless entry, find my scooter function, anti-theft mechanism and much more. Apart from that the Praise is equipped with digital instrument cluster and boasts an under seat storage of 19.5 litres.
The Okinawa Praise also features premium equipment such as dual-disc brakes at the front and single disc at the rear with E-ABS (Electronic Assisted Braking System).The suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and double shocks at the rear. The electric scooter rides on 12-inch wheels.
Okinawa had already commenced the bookings of the Praise in November 2017, with a booking amount of Rs 2,000. The deliveries of the electric scooter will begin from the end of this month. The company has 106 dealerships across the country and is planning to expand the network to 150 outlets by 2018.
