The new Yamaha Fazer 250 has been spotted testing in India, and a recent spy image reveals the headlamp of the new Fazer 250 for the first time.

The new Yamaha Fazer 250 has been spotted testing in India. Instagram user Malkeet has shared new spy pictures of the new Fazer 250.

The spy images provide the front view of the fully-faired motorcycle for the first time; this confirms that the new Fazer 250 will receive a single headlamp unit, unlike the 150cc Yamaha Fazer which is on sale in India with dual headlights.

The new Yamaha Fazer 250 features 41mm telescopic front suspension with 130mm of travel and a lightweight link-less mono shock setup at the rear with 120mm of travel. Braking duties are carried out by a 282mm disc at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear.

ABS may not be offered on the new Fazer 250 similar to the naked Yamaha FZ 25. The wheels of the new Fazer 250 features 100/80-17 and 140/70-17 for the front and back respectively. The fully-faired motorcycle also features digital instrumentation, LED headlamp and LED taillamp.

Apart from the new changes, the new Yamaha Fazer 250 in spy picture reveals new rear view mirrors and a visor. The visor along with the fairing is expected to protect the rider from windblast with is sorely missed in the naked Yamaha FZ 25.

Powering the upcoming Yamaha Fazer 250 will be the same a the FZ 25. The unit is a 249cc oil cooled engine which produces 20.6bhp and 20Nm of torque just like the Yamaha FZ 25 and will come mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

The new Yamaha Fazer 250 is expected to be launched in India during the festive season of 2017. The new Fazer 250 will rival the likes of Bajaj Pulsar RS 200, Honda CBR 250R and KTM RC 200.
