MV Agusta Set To Introduce Three New Models — A New Era Awaits
Italian brand, MV Agusta will introduce a new model later this year and two models will be launched in 2018. This was stated by the company's President, Giovanni Castiglioni.
Italian motorcycle manufacturer, MV Agusta's future, seems to be secure with new models in the works. The Italian brand seems ready to move on from its financial troubles.
MV Agusta's latest issue, the cash crunch, appear to be balancing. Although, this has affected the company's new model lineup with the lack of new motorcycles to showcase at the 2016 EICMA Show.
MV Agusta President, Giovanni Castiglioni in an interview with MCN stated that one new model would debut later in 2017 and only two new motorcycles will be showcased in 2018.
This statement from Castiglioni indicates that it is almost certain that a new four-cylinder Brutale will debut at the 2017 EICMA Show, as a 2018 model year motorcycle.
One more interesting fact is that the Italian motorcycle manufacturer's entire four-cylinder range is due for an update. Although, Castiglioni made it clear that the MV Agusta F4 is not a priority for the company.
New four-cylinder motorcycles in the adventure touring segment could fit nicely in MV Agusta's range. And the three cylinder lineup is starting to age as well. Another fact is that the currently sold models - Rivale, Stradale and F4 are not Euro IV compliant. So, they are either due to being replaced in the lineup or discontinued altogether.
It will be interesting to see hot MV Agusta manages its available resources in producing the future products. The Italian brand seems to be headed in the right direction; it has a long way to go before it arrives at its destination.
