Italian motorcycle manufacturer MV Agusta is all set to launch the new Brutale 800 in the Indian market. The company retails the motorcycle under the MotoRoyale brand of Kinetic Group.
Now, CarandBike reports that MV Agusta will launch the new Brutale 800 in the Indian market in July 2017. The motorcycle will carry a price tag of around Rs 15 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).
The MV Agusta Brutale 800 was supposed to be launched in India in 2016, but now the 2017 model is under homologation. The new motorcycle will be brought to India as Semi Knocked down (SKD) units.
The 2017 Brutale 800 gets few cosmetic updates and an updated engine. The motorcycle draws power from a 798cc inline three pot engine producing 109bhp and 83Nm of torque.
The new Brutale 800 features LED headlamp, revamped tail light, LED turn indicators and redesigned instrument cluster.
The motorcycle is also equipped with the multi-map ride-by-wire system, 8-level traction control, different riding modes, slipper clutch and ABS with the switchable option.
Up front, the new Brutale 800 features 43mm Marzochhi forks and Sachs mono shock suspension setup at the rear. Braking duties are carried by a 320mm floating disc with four-piston calipers at the front and 220mm single disc at the rear.
Once launched in India, the 2017 MV Agusta Brutale 800 will lock horns with the likes of Kawasaki Z900, Ducati Monster 821 and the yet to be launched 2017 Triumph Street Triple.
