Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the 2017 Dio scooter in the country. The new scooter gets cosmetic updates and new BS-IV compliant engine.

The 2017 Honda Dio gets new dual-tone colour scheme, LED daytime running lights, Automatic Headlamp On (AHO) and new BS-IV compliant engine. The newly launched scooter is priced at Rs 49,132 ex-showroom (Delhi).

The new Honda Dio is offered in five exciting colours - Pearl Sports Yellow, Vibrant Orange, Sports Red, Matte Axis Grey Metallic and Candy Jazzy Blue.

The 2017 Dio draws power from a 109.19cc 4-stroke, air cooled, BS-IV engine producing 8bhp of power and 8.91Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a V-Matic automatic gearbox.

The kerb weight of the scooter stands at 103kg. Other prominent features of the 2017 Honda Dio are Combi Braking System (CBS) and tubeless tyres. The scooter gets a fuel tank of 5.3 litres.

The new 2017 Dio is targeted towards the teenage buyers in the Indian market. The Dio will rival the Yamaha RayZR as both the scooters share the same body mounted headlamp design.
