The Thrive Moltar May Just Be The Coolest Bullet Based Scrambler In The World
The custom Bullet 350 Scrambler was built for Royal Enfield Indonesia by Thrive Motorcycle.
Thrive Motorcycle, custom bike builders based out of Jakarta, Indonesia has revealed their latest creation. Dubbed the 'Moltar', the custom motorcycle may just be the coolest Enfield based scrambler around.
The Moltar was commissioned by Royal Enfield Indonesia, who gave Thrive an open brief and an extremely tight deadline of just two months.
Thrive's bike builder's Indra Pratama and Barata Dwiputra immediately got their tools out and went to work and started creating a scrambler based on the Bullet 350.
Putra
Agung,
Thrive's

guy
talked
to
Bike
EXIF
about
the
reason
why
the
custom
house
chose
to
build
a
scrambler,
"After
a
long
overnight
discussion,
a
classic
scrambler
felt
right.
It
represents
the
spirit
of
young
guns
who
want
to
ride
in
the
city
and
also
do
some
cross
country.
So
the
main
goal
was
to
turn
the
Royal
Enfield
Bullet
350
into
a
scrambler-style
tactical
vehicle-one
that
is
sleek
and
functional,
and
can
be
ridden
on
all
surfaces."
The custom bike builders decided to stick as close as possible to the Bullet's DNA. Thrive refined the Bullet 350, keeping as much of the original bike as they possibly could and the resulting Moltar is easily identifiable as a Bullet 350.
Thrive first stripped down the donor bike and then got to work. The front end of the bike gets a new housing for the headlight which is smaller than before and also plays host to the clocks and the key ignition.
Fitted to the Moltar are a custom set of cross-braced bars that are fitted with an aftermarket throttle and mini switches along with new grips.
Thrive also decided to retain the original fuel tank from the Bullet 350. However, the fuel tank has been shrunk in size to make it fit with the rest of the bike. Also present is a Daytona air filter.
The Bullet's side boxes also got the same shrink ray treatment, however, the one mounted on the right side features a custom cover which wraps around the stainless steel exhaust system which is mounted quite high on the Moltar's side.
The Moltar features a custom oxblood leather seat and the rear sub-frame has been completely redone as well.
To help it in its quest to go off-road, Thrive fitted the Moltar with a pair of YSS front shocks, and Shinko off-road tyres fitted to the 19-inch front/18-inch rear spoked wheels.
The Moltar features numerous one-off pieces including high front fender, skid plate, a new pair of YSS shocks, and a 19F/18R wheel combo with Shinko off-road tires. The off-road style foot pegs include adjustable and replaceable pins.
The Thrive Moltar features a simple chrome, black and gold livery along with tiny logos and markings that really show off the 'factory Scrambler' look and make this bike one of the coolest Enfields on the planet.
