Merzouga Rally 2017: Hero MotoSports And Sherco TVS Stage 6 Updates
The Merzouga Rally 2017 has concluded with the 50km final stage. Indian rider CS Santosh finished the rally in the 17th position. Sherco TVS rider Aravind KP concluded the rally in the 21st position.
The Merzouga Rally 2017 has come to an end with the final stage of the rally being held near the town of Erfoud. The sixth stage of the rally was a short 50km test.
Hero MotoSports rider Joaquim Rodrigues used all his skills to finish second in the final stage. The Portuguese rider finished the rally inside the top ten in ninth position. Great result for the rider who is growing with confidence in every international rally.
Rodrigues said, "It was a good last stage for me, arriving second. Very happy for a good result for the Hero MotoSports Team Rally. It was a good rally for us and now we focus on the next rallies to come."
His teammate, Indian rider CS Santosh finished the rally in the 17th position. He made a splendid comeback after the injury he suffered in the India Baja Rally. Santosh's performance proved that why he is considered as the top Indian rally rider.
Santosh said, "What a great end to a fantastic 6 days of racing here in Morocco. It has been a year since my journey with Hero began and I have definitely made a lot of progress from the way I rode last year to this year."
Sherco TVS rider Joan Pedrero finished the rally in an impressive fourth place. He was just 38 minutes, 30 seconds behind the rally winner Xavier de Soultrait.
Indian rider Aravind KP concluded the rally in the 21st position, less than two hours behind Santosh. Abdul Wahid finished his maiden international rally in 27th position. It was an impressive result considering his experience at the international level.
