KTM Recalls 2017 Duke 390 Over Headlight Issue
Austrian motorcycle manufacturer has recalled the 2017 Duke 390 in the European market.
Austrian motorcycle maker KTM has recalled the 2017 Duke 390 and Duke 125 over a headlight issue. The defective headlight might lead to dangerous riding situations.
KTM stated that the tests confirmed the issue with the LED headlight and had notified the customers to contact the authorised dealer for a free software upgrade.
The statement read, “During the internal endurance testing, KTM experienced some cases of sporadic reboots of the LED headlight. As this may lead to potentially dangerous riding situations, the software of the headlight needs to be updated as soon as possible.”
But KTM India has not issued any such recall, and they are fixing the problem when the motorcycle comes to the service. So, if you are an owner of the 2017 Duke 390, visit the authorised dealer immediately and get the software update free of cost.

In the European countries, due to stringent norms, the manufacturers will recall their products if there are any issues. But unfortunately, the same thing doesn’t happen in India. The Indian government has to implement stricter rules to avoid such problems.
