KTM Announces Duke 790 Prices — More Tech For The Price
KTM Duke 790 price revealed
Austrian bike manufacturer KTM has announced the price of the newly revealed Duke 790 and the pricing is quite impressive considering the Scalpel, as KTM refers to it, offers loads of performance and technology.
KTM revealed the production version of the Duke 790 at the EICMA 2017, and it was a matter of time before it announced the price of its latest creation. The official price of the KTM Duke 790 starts at £8,199 (Rs 7 lakhs) for A2 license holders and £8,499 (Rs 7.3 lakhs) for others.
The exciting aspect of the pricing of the Duke 790 is that it is less than double the cost of the Duke 390. The KTM Duke 390 costs £4,699 (Rs 4 lakh) in the UK.

Keeping the price ratios between the Duke 390 and 790 in the UK, the KTM Duke 790 price in India could be in the range of Rs 5-6 lakh. Now, that could be a competitive pricing in India considering KTM has a huge fan following in the country.
In the UK, the prices of KTM Duke 790's rivals such as the Suzuki GSX-S750 (£7,599), Yamaha MT-09 (£7,799), Kawasaki Z900 (£8,249), and Triumph Street Triple (£8,000) is considerably higher than the Duke 790. It looks like KTM might have got their pricing right on this bike.
As mentioned earlier the Duke 790 comes with a whole lot of technology with standard features such as cornering ABS, lean-angle-sensitive traction control, an up/down quick-shifter, riding modes, anti-wheelie function, a TFT dash and more.
Power to the KTM Duke 790 comes from a 799cc parallel twin churning out 104bhp and 87Nm of torque mated to a 6-speed gearbox with assistance from a slipper clutch. The bike also boasts of four ride modes: Sport, Street, Rain, Track.
DriveSpark Thinks!
KTM seems to get the pricing of its bikes right compared to its rivals all the while offering more performance and technology. If KTM decides to manufacture the Scalpel in India, the price as we have mentioned above will undoubtedly have many takers in the country.
