After teasing fans around the world and in India for a while, KTM has launched the 2017 KTM Duke 390 in India, and here's more details about the 390 Duke in detail.

2017 KTM Duke 390 Design
The 2017 Duke 390 has undergone a major design update, and the motorcycle now looks sharper than the model it replaces. One of the most important design features on the new Duke 390 is the side mounted exhaust, which has replaced the underbelly unit.

The next important design element one would notice is the new headlight design that features LED daytime running light, which looks similar to its older sibling, the 1290 Super Duke.

2017 KTM Duke 390 Engine Specifications, Gearbox, And Features
The 2017 KTM Duke 390 is powered by a 373cc, liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that makes 44bhp and 35Nm of peak torque, which is the same engine that powered the previous generation Duke 390. The engine comes paired to a 6-speed gearbox.

On the features front, the KTM 390 comes with a TFT instrument display, bigger 300mm disk brake up front, upside down WP front forks, WP monoshock at the rear, dual disc brakes with ABS, slip assist clutch, Metzeler tyres, and two more important updates — adjustable levers and ride-by-wire technology.

2017 KTM Duke 390 Competition
The 2017 Duke 390 will compete with the Benelli TNT300, Bajaj Dominar 400, and the Mahindra Mojo in India, although the two aforementioned motorcycles are more touring oriented.
