KTM 390 Adventure India Launch Confirmed — Time To Go Off The Beaten Path
The KTM 390 Adventure India launch date has been confirmed, and we can expect the motorcycle to be placed as KTM’s flagship in India.
The KTM 390 Adventure India launch has been confirmed by the Austrian motorcycle manufacturer during the launch of the 2017 KTM Duke range in India. The KTM 390 adventure release date, however, has not been confirmed, but the launch will take place soon.
KTM is known for its adventure motorcycles globally, and for delivering affordable performance. The KTM 390 Adventure India launch was in the pipeline for a while now, and finally, adventure enthusiasts will have a chance to own one of the best adventure motorcycles soon.
Spy pics of what seemed like the KTM 390 Adventure was snapped a few months ago by MCN, and the motorcycle looks promising, with long travel suspension and an upswept exhaust. Closer inspection of the image might bring doubts since it had the front end of a Dakar rally machine, but it cannot be ignored.
Bajaj, the Indian company that distributes the Austrian motorcycle in the country also confirmed the KTM 390 Adventure India launch when the 2017 KTM RC range of motorcycles were launched recently.
The KTM 390 Adventure will be based on the new platform, which the KTM Duke is built on. This platform will help KTM make three types of motorcycles, a fully faired one (RC), naked street bike (Duke), and the Adventure.
The design for the KTM 390 Adventure motorcycle was not finalised until recently, when Stefan Pierer, the CEO of KTM got a chance to come to India. KTM got a ‘go-head' nod to build the motorcycle.
Powering the KTM 390 Adventure will be the same engine that does its duty on the 2017 Duke 390, a 373cc, single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, but in a different state of tune to suit what the motorcycle is built for.
At present, the KTM 390 Adventure when released in India, will have direct competition, apart from the Royal Enfield Himalaya. But the due course of time will bring other brands to India as well, like the Kawasaki Versys 300 and the BMW G 310 GS.
When the KTM Adventure 390 is launched in India, hopefully during this year, it will sit as the range topper for KTM in India, placed above the Duke and RC range of motorcycles. Stay tuned for more updates about the KTM 390 Adventure India launch, as we will bring you live updates.
