Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Kawasaki has launched its limited edition track focused version of the ZX-10R - the ZX-10RR - in the country. The ZX-10RR is priced at Rs 21.9 lakh ex-showroom, Pune and is limited to just 500 examples worldwide.

The Kawasaki ZX-10RR was introduced to the public at the 2016 INTERMOT motorcycle show. The motorcycle features a special Winter Edition matte black paint and is available only with a single-seat saddle.

Powering the ZX-10RR is a 998cc liquid cooled, four-cylinder engine that cranks out 200bhp at 13,000rpm (210bhp with ram-air) and 113.5Nm of peak torque at 11,500rpm. The engine is paired to a six-speed gearbox.

The engine has modified cylinder heads to accommodate higher-lift camshafts from a new RR race kit, and for improving the durability, the crankcases are reinforced. The tappets get low friction DLC coating to reduce friction and increase efficiency.

The motorcycle comes equipped with ABS and Bosch inertial measurement unit (IMU) that gauges data across six axes of movement. It also gets a new Kawasaki Quickshifter system that will allow both up- and downshifts without engaging the clutch.

The Kawasaki ZX-10RR ride on Marchesini seven-spoke forged aluminum wheels shod with super-sticky Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tyres. The manufacturer also claims that the limited edition ZX-10RR is about 2 seconds faster than the standard one on their Autopolis test track in Kumamoto, Japan.
