Kawasaki KX450F And KLX450R Launched In India; Prices Start At Rs 7.97 Lakh
Kawasaki has launched the KX450F and KLX450R off-road motorcycles in the Indian market.
Kawasaki has launched its two off-road motorcycles, the KX450F and KLX450R in India. The KX450F is priced at Rs 7.97 lakh and the KLX450R carries a price tag of Rs 8.49 lakh. Both prices are ex-showroom (Delhi).
Both the KX450F and the KLX450R will be sold in the Indian market via CBU (Completely Built Unit) route. The motorcycles are not road legal and meant for off-road use only.
Kawasaki claims that the KX450F is the lightest motorcycle in the class with a significant weight reduction of engine and chassis. The motorcycle draws power from a 449cc single cylinder, fuel injected engine mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The kerb weight of the motorcycle stands at just 108.8kg.
The suspension duties are handled by 49mm Showa inverted separate function front forks and Uni-Trak monoshock at the rear. 270mm front and 240mm rear petal disc help the motorcycle to shed speed quickly. The KX450F also features launch control mode.

The Kawasaki KLX450R is powered by a 449cc single cylinder, carbureted engine coupled to a 5-speed gearbox. The motorcycle gets 48mm upside down fully adjustable telescopic forks up front and Uni-Trak adjustable monoshock suspension at the rear.
Apart from that the off-road motorcycle is equipped with the digital instrument cluster, electric start and LED tail light. The kerb weight of the KLX450R stands at 126kg, heavier than the KX450F.
Managing Director of India Kawasaki Motors, Yutaka Yamashita said, "The culture and passion for off-road motorcycle need be developed in India. Right now it is a niche market and we are happy to contribute in this segment by introducing KX450F, which was awarded as world's best motocrosser in 2016 by Cycle World."

Kawasaki has expanded its product portfolio by launching the KX450F and KLX450R. Both the motorcycles are meant for off-road use. The KX450F is the lightest machine in its class and offers exceptional performance due to its low kerb weight.
