Jawa 350 OHC 4-Stroke Motorcycle Launched In Czech Republic — Will India Be Next?
Thanks to Mahindra Two-Wheelers, the iconic Jawa brand will make a comeback to the Indian market.
With the change in time, adapting to a newer environment is necessary. Jawa, the iconic brand, known for its 2-stroke motorcycles has adapted to new emission laws with the launch of the 4-stroke Jawa 350 OHC motorcycle in the Czech Republic.
The new Jawa 350 OHC is a mix of old and new generation of style and performance. As per Jawa Czech Republic website, powering the 2017 Jawa 350 OHC is an air-cooled single-cylinder motor from Chinese manufacturer Shineray, itself a derivation of an older Honda design.
The 397cc single cylinder is capable of producing 27.35bhp and 30.6Nm of torque and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The motor meets the current Euro 4 emission norms.
The Jawa 350 OHC features modern technology such as Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS). Along with modern tech, the Jawa 350 OHC has the styling which throws you back to the 1970s.
Other specs include 160kg dry weight and 12-litre fuel tank. Additionally, the Jawa 350 OHC sports 19-inch wheels at the front and 18-inch for the rear.
In the Czech Republic, the Jawa 350 OHC 4-stroke has been launched with the price tag of CZK 99,930 (Rs 2.60 lakh).
With Jawa launching 4-stroke versions of their iconic motorcycles, the launch in India could be closer than we can imagine. Mahindra Two-Wheelers have bought the Jawa brand for manufacturing and selling the motorcycle.
We expect Mahindra Two-Wheelers to launch the Jawa brand in India probably late 2019 or early 2020.
