Italian Volt Lacama Revealed — The Future Of Motorcycles?
Italian Volt has revealed the Lacama electric motorcycle in Milan. The bespoke Lacama can be customised to look like a scrambler or a cafe racer or even a roadster.
Milanese startup Italian Volt has revealed its first ever electric bike, the Lacama. The Electric Volt Lacama is a customisable electric motorcycle which is available in multiple design styles.
Powering the Lacama are a cluster of lithium ion batteries which produce 94bhp and 208Nm of torque. Despite weighing 250 kilogrammes, the Lacama still has a top speed of 180km/h.
The Lacama sits on Ohlins suspension and comes to a stop thanks to Brembo brakes.
The Lacama's battery when fully charged offers a range of 190 kilometres. The battery pack features a fast charging mode which charges the lithium-ion pack that gives 80 percent charge in just 40 minutes.
The design of the Lacama is the work of Adriano Stellino, a designer who worked with Bertone and Lamborghini. Italian Volt will also allow owners to choose from different form factors including café racer, scrambler, and roadster designs.
Italian Volt hopes to begin selling the Lacama throughout Europe and North America and will start accepting bookings in September with prices expected to start at €35,000 (Rs 24.66 lakh).
