2017 Indian Roadmaster Classic Revealed — Touring Just Got A Whole Lot Cooler
The 2017 Indian Roadmaster Classic gets desert tan leather saddlebags and comes powered by the same engine as the regular model.
Indian Motorcycles has launched the 2017 Roadmaster Classic touring motorcycle in the USA. The motorcycle comes with a starting price of $26,999 (Rs 18.08 lakh).
The 2017 Roadmaster Classic is the latest addition to the Indian's touring range and gets a few feature updates along with retro-styled colour schemes. The motorcycle is based on the standard Roadmaster and adds all of the technology you would expect in this modern day and age.
Despite modern technology been added on the 2017 Indian Motorcycle Classic, the motorcycle still stands out as a classic cruiser, thanks to details such as chrome teardrop-logo tank badge, leather saddle bags, and luggage cases.
The new 2017 Roadmaster Classic will include standard features like ABS, desert tan leather seats and saddlebags, cruise control, tyre pressure monitoring system, heated seats and grips and adjustable floorboards along with LED lights and keyless ignition.
The motorcycle also gets Indian's 'Rider Command' infotainment system with 7-inch touchscreen, radio, USB, Bluetooth and it shows all the relevant riding data and can be used for navigation as well.
The leather saddlebags and top box can be removed when not in use and have a total capacity of 122-litres compared to 142-litre on the standard model. The motorcycle comes with new colour schemes such as Thunder Black, Willow Green over Ivory Cream and Red over Ivory Cream.
As for the powertrain, the 2017 Indian Roadmaster Classic gets an air-cooled 1,811cc 'Thunder-Stroke' V-twin engine producing 161Nm of torque, all going to the rear wheel through a maintenance-free belt drive.
It is not clear if Indian Motorcycles will bring 2017 Roadmaster Classic to India though the standard model is available in India.
