Honda 2 Wheelers India is proud to sponsor the only Indian riders featuring in ARRC, Sarath Kumar and Rajiv Sethu. They will represent the team RAMA Honda by NTS T.Pro Ten 10.
India's only full season riders Sarath and Rajiv will be participating in the Super Sport 600cc category and the Asia Production 250cc class respectively. The 24-year old Indian rider Sarath is a two-time Honda One Make Race Champion (2014 and 2013).
Sarath is the first Indian rider to participate in 125GP and Moto-3 CEV Championship and the first to get a podium finish in 2014 season of Asia Dream Cup. Recognising his talent, Honda has sponsored him to the Asia Road Racing Championship 2017.
ARRC season 2017 debutant, Rajiv is one of India's most promising young riders and top performer in National and Honda One Make Race Championship. He is now participating in the ARRC and Thai talent cup. He has also been the top runner for super sports category championship this year.
Vice President, Customer Service, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India, Prabhu Nagaraj said, "Honda has been constantly making efforts to promote motorsports in India. As a part of Honda's rider development program, two young talented Indian riders Sarath & Rajiv will be seen in action in Asia Road Racing Championship (ARRC) this year."
Honda with its one-make racing series has given an opportunity for young riders to showcase their talent on the national stage. Sarath and Rajiv will represent India on home soil in the fifth round of ARRC. Both the riders will have an added advantage of knowing the track very well compared to their competitors.
