Honda Commences Deliveries Of The Africa Twin, With The First Batch Of 50 Motorcycles
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI), which had launched its globally popular litre-class adventure-touring motorcycle – the CRF1000L Africa Twin on May 15, has started its deliveries today.
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) had recently launched its well-known litre-class adventure-touring motorcycle - the Africa Twin CRF1000L.
Now, Honda has today announced that it has now started deliveries of the motorcycle. All the 50 motorcycles models imported as CKD units in the first batch and assembled at Honda's Manesar have been sold out, and now delivered.

The Honda Africa Twin CRF1000L is powered by a 998cc, liquid-cooled parallel-twin-cylinder engine that makes 93bhp and 98Nm of torque. The engine comes paired to a 6-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT).
The Honda Africa Twin's price tag at the time of its commercial launch in India was Rs 12.9 lakh (ex-showroom India), but is now revised to Rs 13,06,927 (ex-showroom, India).
The Africa Twin has received good response in our market, with the first 50 bookings being done in just over two months' time. The Honda Africa Twin is available through 22 dealerships in 22 cities across India.

Honda is the sixth global brand to bring its adventure-tourer motorcycle in the Indian market. Hence this segment already has top-notch competitors from Triumph, Ducati, BMW Motorrad, Suzuki Motorcycle and Kawasaki with adventure tourers having an engine capacity of 800cc and above.
