Honda CB Twister 250 Unveiled; An Ideal Yamaha FZ25 Rival
Powering the Honda CB Twister 250 is a 249.5cc OHC, single cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine.
Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Honda has officially launched the CB Twister 250 in Brazil. Before the launch of the quarter-litre offering from Honda, Yamaha unveiled the FZ25 in India that gets a 250cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine.

Now, the million dollar question is, will Honda bring this naked beauty to India? As of now, the answer is ‘No'. But still, we can hope Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India to launch the CB Twister 250 to rival the Yamaha FZ25.

Currently, FZ25 has no competition in the Indian two-wheeler market. If Honda launches the CB Twister 250, both the 250cc offerings from the Japanese makers can go head-to-head. Speaking about the Honda's 250cc machine, it comes equipped with LED taillamps, fully-digital instrument console, disc brakes at both ends with dual-channel ABS.

Powering the CB Twister 250 is a 249.5cc OHC, single cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine. The quarter-litre mill cranks out 22.4bhp of peak power at 7,500 rpm and 22.4Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm and comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

In Brazil, customers can choose an ethanol powered version of the CB Twister 250 that dishes out 22.6bhp of power and 22.8Nm of torque. Both the versions are equipped with a 16.5-litre fuel tank, that will offer good riding range between refuelling.

At the front, the motorcycle employs 130mm telescopic forks and a 108mm mono-shock at the rear. The stopping power comes from a 276mm disc at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear. The CB Twister 250 is built around a diamond frame which offers stability and no vibrations.

The motorcycle gets 17-inch alloy wheels that are shod with an 110/70 section tyre upfront and a 140/70 at the rear. The Yamaha FZ25 also has the same tyre sizes.

Like mentioned above, Honda has no plans to launch the CB Twister 250 in India. If the company plans to do so, then the Yamaha FZ25 will have a fair competition in the 250cc naked street bike category.
