This Hayabusa Is An Xtreme Modification Done The Proper Way

A bike modifier has transformed the Hero Xtreme into a mighty Hayabusa superbike.

Suzuki Hayabusa is one of the iconic superbikes in the history of motorcycles. But this Hayabusa is a unique masterpiece as it is an exact replica of the original motorcycle.

A Delhi-based bike modification firm, Gm custom has modified a Hero Xtreme into a Hayabusa. Hard to believe right? Under the skin of the mammoth superbike is a humble 150cc machine.

One of the prominent highlights of this modified Hayabusa is the attention to detail. By looking at the exterior design it is impossible to say that it's a replica of the Hayabusa. Apart from the bodywork, the motorcycle also gets custom mechanical components as well.

To accommodate the bodywork of the Hayabusa, the wheelbase of the Xtreme has been increased. So, the stock swingarm is replaced with a custom unit. The rear twin shock absorbers are replaced by a monoshock setup. The front gets the stock telescopic forks.

The front end of the motorcycle features dual-disc brakes, but we reckon that only one disc is functional and the other one is just for aesthetics. The rear also gets a disc brake. The Hayabusa replica is equipped with aftermarket alloy wheels shod with chunky tyres to suit the overall design of the motorcycle. The rear end of the motorcycle features signature Hayabusa styling with twin exhaust pipes.

Another noticeable feature of the Hayabusa replica is the instrument cluster. It is identical to the original motorcycle with a digital display in the centre. The clip-on handlebars feature Hayabusa logo and the switchgear looks to be of the Xtreme.

Coming to the engine, the replica of the Hayabusa draws power from the stock engine of the Xtreme. The 149.2cc air-cooled, single cylinder engine produces 15.2bhp and 12.8Nm of torque. The engine is coupled to a 5-speed gearbox.

DriveSpark Thinks!

The replica of the Hayabusa is an incredible modification as the attention to detail is amazing. The only disappointing aspect of the mod job is the engine. We would have liked to see a bigger engine justifying the bodywork of the motorcycle. But still, the modification done to the Xtreme is something out of this world.
