Hero MotoCorp Eyes Six New Launches This Fiscal Year — Can We Expect The New Xtreme 200S?
Hero MotoCorp is looking to launch six models this fiscal year, including the Xtreme 200S to remain as the segment leader.
Hero MotoCorp is eyeing to grow in double digits and capture more market share in India and to do so, the two-wheeler maker is eyeing to launch six models this fiscal year.
The world's largest two-wheeler manufacturer recently launched the updated Glamour in India and is also eyeing to launch the Hero Xtreme 200S. The motorcycle was showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo.
The company will be investing Rs 2,500 crore over the next two years on product development, digitisation, phase-wise capacity installation and expansion. The investment will go towards its existing facility at Gujarat and upcoming plants at Andhra Pradesh and Bangladesh.
Hero MotoCorp is also looking at introducing premium motorcycles and scooters, while also looking at ways to reduce costs. The company is one of the newest entrants into the world of motorsports and is already getting noticed.
With the above-mentioned initiatives, Hero MotoCorp is looking to maintain its segment leadership, but Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Honda is hot in pursuit.
