Hero MotoCorp Reveals Its India Plans
India's largest two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp has finally revealed its India plans.
India's largest two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp has revealed its plans for the Indian market. The company is looking to improve its market presence by overhauling its product portfolio.
Currently, Hero MotoCorp has discontinued around ten products in India. And the two-wheeler maker is planning to launch two new products by September 2017.
But Hero has not yet revealed what will be the two new products for India. The company is very confident to maintain its market hold in the country. This is the very first time that Hero has revealed its plans.
An official from Hero said, "Two will be introduced in the market leading up to the festive season in September. Following these, we will launch an all-new 200cc motorcycle around the Auto Expo 2018."
Now, this statement made it clear that it is a 200c motorcycle, which is likely to be the Xtreme 200S. The other two products could be the HX250R and the moto-scooter.
But Hero MotoCorp never tested these products in India. The new products are likely to be based on the Splendor, Passion or HF Deluxe. There is also a possibility of relaunching the BS-IV variants of the Hunk or Xtreme.
So it feels like Hero has finally decided to introduce the new products such as HX250R, Dare, ZIR and Xtreme 200S in India. With the increasing competition in the market, Hero needs to think out of the box to dominate the domestic market.
