Hero MotoCorp Enters Argentina With Four Global Products
Indian two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp has entered the Argentine market with four global products, including the new-gen Glamour.
Indian two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp has expanded its global market reach by entering Argentina. The manufacturer started the operations in Argentina by opening the first dealership in Buenos Aires.
Hero MotoCorp unveiled the new-gen Glamour which will be named as Ignitor in the Latin American markets such as Colombia, Peru and Argentina. It is the maiden global launch outside India for the Indian company.
Hero MotoCorp will offer four products in the Argentine market - the Ignitor(Glamour), Hunk, Hunk Sports and the only scooter Dash (Maestro Edge).
Hero MotoCorp has partnered with Marwen SA to distribute the motorcycles in the Argentine market. Marwen also has an existing assembly plant to roll out Hero motorcycles in Argentina.
The assembly plant is located in Villa Rosa, Buenos Aires with a capacity to roll out 5,000 motorcycles a year. In the initial phase, Hero will export kits to Argentina, and that will be assembled at the assembly plant.
Hero MotoCorp will open 40 dealerships in Buenos Aires region in the near future and 95 more showrooms across Argentina by the end of 2017. Hero aims to be the top two brand in Argentina in the next two or three years.
To boost sales in Argentina, Hero MotoCorp has signed the Argentina football coach Diego Simeone as the brand ambassador. Hero has set a target of selling its products in 50 markets by 2020.
