Hero Launches 2017 Super Splendor i3S In India; Priced At Rs 55,275

The 2017 Super Splendor i3S is powered by a 124.7cc air-cooled motor mated to a four-speed gearbox. The engine cranks out 9bhp of power at 7,000 rpm and 10.35Nm of peak torque at 4,000rpm. There is no confirmation that whether the motorcycle is BSIV compliant or not.

What's new on this particular Super Splendor is the i3S tech, which automatically shuts the engine when idling for five seconds and can be started again when the rider pulls the clutch lever. This smart system can be turned off by pressing the blue switch on the right side of the handlebar.

When it comes to design, the Super Splendor i3S carries the same design as the outgoing model except the i3S badging on the rear side panels on either side. Also, the motorcycle features new body graphics.

The 2017 Hero Super Splendor i3S measures 1,995 mm in length, 735 mm in width and 1,095 mm in height. It has a ground clearance of 150 mm and weighs 121 kg. The model will be available in five colours; Black with Electric Purple, Candy Blazing Red, Graphite Black, Vibrant Blue and Black with Fiery Red.

The recently launched model by Hero was the Passion Pro which is priced at Rs 50,955. The Passion Pro also gets i3S technology and AHO (Automatic headlamp On). The motorcycle is powered by a 97.2cc air-cooled engine and it is now BSIV compliant.
