Hero 200cc Off-Road Motorcycle In The Works
Hero MotoCorp is working on a 200cc off-road motorcycle to consolidate its market presence in India.
Indian two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp is eying the scooter and premium motorcycle segment in the country. It is already a known fact that the company is readying its new products to strengthen its market presence.
Now, Economic Times reports that Hero MotoCorp is also working on a 200cc off-road motorcycle. Apart from that, the company will also introduce the Xtreme 200S by the end of current fiscal.
Hero MotoCorp is not new to the off-road motorcycle segment as it had Impulse in its product portfolio. Unfortunately, the motorcycle was discontinued in India due to the dwindling demand in the market.
But now, the Indian motorcycling culture has drastically changed, and an affordable off-road adventure motorcycle will be an instant hit in the country. So, Hero has upped the ante and is working on a 200cc off-road motorcycle.

The upcoming 200cc motorcycle is likely to draw power from a 200cc single cylinder; fuel injected engine producing around 18bhp to 20bhp of power. The off-road motorcycle is expected to sport a rugged stance with high ground clearance and long travel suspension.
