Indian two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp is all set to introduce an all-new 200cc naked motorcycle in the country.
GaadiWaadi reports that Hero MotoCorp will launch the new 200cc motorcycle in India this month. The upcoming product from Hero is likely to be the Xtreme 200S showcased at the 2016 Auto Expo.
Reports claim that the Hero Xtreme 200S will be launched under a different moniker. Previously it was reported that the company would introduce the 200cc motorcycle by early-2018. But now, Hero has decided to enter the 200cc segment earlier than expected.
On the design front, the upcoming 200cc motorcycle has similarities with the 150cc Xtreme. The headlamp and the fuel tank design is similar to its 150cc sibling. But the tank extentions enhance the sporty appeal of the motorcycle.

The new motorcycle from Hero will draw power from a 200cc air-cooled engine which might also get an oil-cooler for better heat management. The engine is expected to deliver around 18bhp of power and 17Nm of torque.
Braking duties will be handled by discs at both the ends. It will be interesting to see if Hero will equip the motorcycle with Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) to stay ahead of the competition.

The upcoming 200cc motorcycle from Hero MotoCorp is expected to carry a price tag of around Rs 90,000 ex-showroom in India. The naked street fighter will rival the likes of Bajaj Pulsar NS200 and TVS Apache RTR 2004V in the entry-level performance motorcycle segment.
