Electric KTM Duke Spied Testing — The KTM E390?
KTM’s new electric motorcycle, the Duke fitted with an electric motor has been spied testing. Here’s more.
Electric mobility is the future, and we can bet on that fact when KTM is testing a prototype of the Duke 390, but with an electric motor. The spy pictures were snapped by MCN.

Let's get the facts right — KTM is no stranger to electric motorcycles. The Austrian brand already has the Freeride E-SX, E-SM, and E-XC, all part of the electric motorcycle family. The Duke spotted raises a question as to is KTM bringing the technology to the streets?

The pictures clearly reveal a 390 Duke retrofitted with an electric motor, although the motorcycle is still a prototype. The design may change in the final version too.

KTM or Bajaj have not made any announcements of electric motorcycles, but if the Duke E390 is to hit the production line, India could soon have the motorcycle.

But what's really interesting is the fact that the electric Duke has the conventional clutch and gear lever, hinting at giving the rider a ‘regular' riding experience.

An electric motorcycle coupled with discounts in India will help KTM price the motorcycle aggressively, resulting in good sales numbers.
