Ducati SuperSport India Launch Date Confirmed
Ducati is all set to launch the SuperSport in India on September 22, 2017.
Italian superbike manufacturer Ducati is all set to launch the SuperSport motorcycle in the country.
The new SuperSport will be launched in India on September 22, 2017. The new motorcycle will be slotted below the 959 Panigale. The SuperSport will be offered in two variants - Standard and 'S' for Sport.
On the design front, the SuperSport is similar to the Panigale in many ways, but it also gets unique design elements. The dual headlamps have a different design and the riding posture is more upright.
The SuperSport also features lower footpegs and a taller windscreen which is also adjustable. The new motorcycle is based on the Steel Trellis frame unlike the monocoque chassis of Panigale.

The new Ducati SuperSport draws power from a 937cc twin cylinder Testatretta engine churning out 110bhp and 93Nm of torque. The engine is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox. The Hypermotard 939 and the Multistrada 950 also utilises the same engine.
Ducati states that the torque delivery is linear on the new SuperSport to make it easier for the day-to-day commute. The motorcycle comes with three riding modes - Sport, Touring and Urban.
The motorcycle also gets a slew of electronic riding aids which includes 3-level Bosch ABS and 8-level Ducati traction control. The new SuperSport S is also equipped with fully adjustable Ohlins suspension and Ducati Quick Shift system.

The Ducati SuperSport is an everyday motorcycle with a sportbike performance. When launched in India, the motorcycle is expected to carry a price tag of around Rs 12 lakh to Rs 13 lakh ex-showroom. The SuperSport will rival the likes of Kawasaki Ninja 1000 and Suzuki GSX-S1000F.
