Ducati's Monster 797 Is Coming To India And It's Sooner Than We Expected
Ducati will launch its basic offering in the Monster lineup, the Ducati Monster 797, in India this July.
Ducati is ready to launch the Monster 797 in India, reveals ET Auto. The Ducati Monster 797, the Italian motorcycle maker's entry-level motorcycle in the Monster lineup will be launched sometime in July 2017.

Ducati says "The Monster 797 provides a gateway to the Ducati world, for those looking for an easy, intuitive ride as well as sheer sports enjoyment." When launched, the Monster 797 will be on par with the Scrambler, Ducati's base offering at the moment.

The Monster 797 is a street oriented motorcycle and follows similar design language to that of its older siblings, the Monster 821 and 1200. The Monster will sport a steel trellis frame, which Ducati claims to be rigid and light.

The Monster 797 will be powered by an 803cc, twin-cylinder engine, borrowed from the Scrambler lineup. The engine will make 74bhp and 68Nm of peak torque.

The engine will be paired to a 6-speed gearbox, and the new two-into-one exhaust will optimise fluid dynamics to avoid overheating.

The Ducati Monster 797, when launched, will be the third model of the Monster range in India, after the 821 and the Monster 1200. The 1200 is available in two variants, the Monster 1200 R and the 1200 S.
