Indian rider and Dakar rookie, Aravind KP has had an unfortunate crash during stage 2, breaking two bones.
The 2017 Dakar Rally is underway, and stage one was completed successfully by both Indian riders, CS Santosh and Aravind KP.
Stage two however, has brought bad news as Aravind KP, riding for the TVS Sherco Team has had an unfortunate accident, resulting in two fractures in his left hand.
The unfortunate incident took place just one kilometer from the finish line, when a slower rider cut across, leading to a crash.
The strong willed rider who has won numerous trophies in India will continue riding, and won't let the injury keep him from finishing his first ever Dakar.
At the end of Stage one, KP Aravind managed to finish at the 61st position, while fellow Indian rider CS Santosh finished the stage in the 47th position.
