Cleveland CycleWerks To Enter India
American motorcycle manufacturer Cleveland CycleWerks is all set to enter the Indian market by July 2017.
In recent years, several global motorcycle manufacturers have entered India to tap into the growing market. Companies such as Ducati, Harley-Davidson, BMW Motorrad and Triumph already operate in the country.
Now there is an addition to this list. American motorcycle manufacturer Cleveland CycleWerks is set to enter the Indian market by July 2017.

Unlike the companies such as Harley-Davidson and Indian, the Cleveland CycleWerks is a newcomer to the industry. The company was founded in 2009, and the first motorcycle was launched in 2010.

CCW sources most of its components from China and operates in around 25 countries. The company offers motorcycles ranging from 125cc to 450cc.

All the CCW motorcycles are powered by single cylinder engines based on the older Honda engines. The motorcycle manufacturer will enter India by collaborating with a Hyderabad-based company, Laish-Madison MotorWerks (LMMW).

CCW is expected to offer five models in India - Heist, Ace, Misfit, FXr and Hooligun. The company plans to assemble the motorcycles in India. CCW also aims to set up a plant in Telangana.

Coming to the motorcycle, the Heist is the very first product from the company. The Heist is a hardtail bobber with minimalistic design. The motorcycle draws power from a 230cc single cylinder engine producing 14.8bhp and 15.8Nm of torque.

The Ace a commuter with retro-classic design sitting on a single cradle frame. The heart of the motorcycle is the same 230cc engine. The Ace is offered in two variants - Standard and Deluxe. The Deluxe edition gets premium components.

The Misfit is a cafe-racer motorcycle. The motorcycle draws power from a 223cc single cylinder engine producing 16.3bhp and 18Nm of torque. The motorcycle gets upside down front forks.

The FXx and FXr are the crossovers between a mountain and dirt motorcycle. The motorcycle is powered by a 124cc single cylinder engine producing 8.3bhp and 8.5Nm of peak torque. The FXx is a road-legal version of FXr with headlight, tail lights and turn indicators.

The last motorcycle in the lineup is, the Hooligun. It's a dual-sport enduro motorcycle with the biggest engine. The Hooligun draws power from a 449cc single cylinder engine, liquid cooled engine producing 43.5bhp and 42.5Nm of torque.

The Hooligan is offered in two variants - R and X. The R variant comes with dual-sport tyres, whereas the X variant is built for serious off-roading. Cleveland CycleWerks is likely to launch its first motorcycle by July 2017.
