BMW Motorrad has introduced a new optional instrument cluster featuring a 6.5-inch full-colour TFT display.
BMW Motorrad has introduced a new optional instrument cluster featuring a 6.5-inch full-colour TFT display. The optional display offers fast and safe information without distracting the rider.
The rider can easily access motorcycle and connectivity functions through BMW Motorrad multi-controller. The new display combines the standard display of RPM and speed with new technology and provides wide array of features.

If a rider pairs the smartphone and helmet equipped with BMW Motorrad communication system using TFT display, the rider can access media playback and smartphone functions.
The rider can also connect the smartphone through Bluetooth. When connected through Bluetooth, the rider can listen to music and access the contacts. The TFT display also allows the rider to receive or reject a call.

The new TFT display will also offer BMW Motorrad Connected App features. All the functions can be directly accessed on the motorcycle. The app can also record ridden route and ride statistics and information.
The optional TFT display also features Onboard Computer PRO, which is capable of displaying numerous setting options. The rider can also cycle through motorcycle settings without getting distracted. The new Connectivity option will hit the market in autumn 2017 in the R 1200 GS and R 1200 GS Adventure. Later on, further models will follow.
