BMW Motorrad India Launch Details Revealed
BMW Motorrad will launch its portfolio of bikes on April 14, 2017, marking the company's official debut into the Indian two-wheeler market.
German motorcycle manufacturer, BMW Motorrad is all set to enter India and will launch its line-up for India on April 14, 2017.

As per Team-BHP, BMW Motorrad will finally set its foot in the Indian two-wheeler industry; however, the much awaited G 310R will not be part of the launch in April this year. The company is expected to set up showrooms in five major cities in India.

With the BMW G 310R's debut delayed, the bike maker is expected to launch its higher capacity range of bikes in the country.

The bikes that are likely to be launched on April 14, 2017, include R1200, K1600, R NineT, S1000R and the S1000RR. These motorcycles are likely to be Completely Built Units (CBU). There has not been any announcement by the company to build the bikes in India.

After analysing the Indian market, the company might consider assembling bikes in the long-term, which is expected to be four years away.

The BMW G 310R though is being manufactured in partnership with TVS Motors at the latter's plant in Hosur, Tamil Nadu.

The G 310R is powered by a liquid-cooled, single cylinder engine producing 34bhp and 28Nm of torque. When launched, the BMW G310R will rival the likes of KTM Duke 390, Kawasaki Z250, Benelli TNT 300, and the likes.
