Powering the little Benelli is a 135cc, air-cooled, fuel-injected single cylinder engine with a single overhead camshaft (SOHC) that produces 12.6bhp @ 9,000rpm and 10.8Nm of torque @ 7,000rpm. The engine sends power to the rear wheel through a 5-speed gearbox.

To help the TNT 135 traverse over the rough stuff, Benelli has equipped the mini-bike with a 41-mm upside-down fork with 120mm travel up front and a swing arm along with a laterally adjustable mono shock with preload adjustment and 50mm travel at the rear.

To ensure that overenthusiastic riders don't get themselves and the new Benelli into trouble, the new TNT 135 comes equipped with a 230mm disc brake with two-piston calliper up front and a 190mm single calliper disc at the rear. The TNT 135 sits on 12-inch alloy wheels with the front shod with a 120/70-ZR12 tyre and the rear with a 130/70 ZR12 tyre.

The new Benelli TNT 135 is 1,750mm long, 755mm wide, 1,025mm tall and has a 1,215mm long wheelbase.

The seat of the TNT 135 sits 760mm above the ground, and the fuel tank can hold 7.2-litres of fuel. The Benelli TNT has a ground clearance of 160mm which should help it handle the bumpy roads of India.
