Bajaj On The Scanner For Misleading Pulsar Advertisement
The ASCI has claimed that the Bajaj Pulsar TVC is misleading on two counts, and encourages people to replicate dangerous moves.
The Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) has claimed that the Bajaj Pulsar TVC is misleading. The ASCI has released a list of 100 misleading ads, and of them, Bajaj and Bridgestone are the only two automotive companies.

The Bajaj Pulsar ad has been termed misleading for two reasons. Firstly, because of the stunts being performed on a busy market street, contrary to Bajaj's disclaimer that says stunts have been performed under controlled environment at an isolated location.

Second reason being that performing such stunts at public places will encourage people to perform the same, which could lead to accidents. Replicating such stunts could harm the rider and other people.

Lists such as the one mentioned earlier are prepared by ASCI and its Consumer Complaints Council (CCC), based on complaints received from consumers and that are false, misleading, indecent, illegal, leading to unsafe practices, or unfair to competition, and in contravention of the ASCI Code for self-regulation in advertising.
