Bajaj is said to be working on an electric motorcycle based on the motorcyles based on the bikes based on its partner KTM's
Indian motorcycle manufacturer Bajaj could be on track to come out with an electric powered motorcycle by the end of the decade if reports are to be believed.

According to BikeWale, the Pune-based motorcycle manufacturer is keen to join the rest of the two-wheeler world in the inevitable race towards electrification, though it is out of their comfort zone.

Bajaj is expected to turn towards its Austrian partner KTM to help it develop the zero-emissions bike as it has done in the past years for its performance motorcycles. KTM already sells a range of electric dirt bikes called e-Ride in Europe.

The electric motorcycle though will be more oriented towards performance rather than focused on everyday commuter needs. The all-new electric Bajaj performance machine is expected to hit the streets in 2020.
