Aprilia Shiver 900 And Dorsoduro 900 Launched In India — Priced At Rs 11.99 Lakh And Rs 12.50 Lakh

The Aprilia Shiver 900 draws power from an 896cc V-twin engine producing 95.2bhp and 90Nm of torque. The motorcycle sits on a steel trellis and aluminium plate frame. The design has been tweaked to give it an adventure motorcycle look.

The Shiver 900 also features traction control and ride-by-wire technology. The technology is adopted from the company's MotoGP bike.

The same 896cc engine also powers the Dorsoduro 900, and the power figures are unchanged. The motorcycle features riding modes such as Sport, Touring and Rain.

Apart from that, the Dorsoduro 900 is equipped with traction control system, dual-channel ABS, TFT instrument display. Both the motorcycles get lightweight Kayaba forks and three-spoked rims.

CEO and Managing Director, Piaggio Vehicles India, Stefano Pelle said, "It is our constant effort at Piaggio Group to make the Aprilia brand more accessible to the patrons in the country, with these superbikes- the Aprilia Shiver and Dorsoduro- we plan to appeal to the Aprilia enthusiast."

He added, "These superbikes reflect the racing heritage of the brand and the riding experience is unmatched by any other product in the similar category." The newly launched superbikes will be available at Piaggio Group's Motorplexes located in Bangalore, Chennai, Pune and Hyderabad.
