2018 Yamaha MT-09 Launched In India; Priced At Rs 10.88 Lakh
2018 Yamaha MT-09 launched in India.
Yamaha India has launched the new iteration of its naked roadster, the MT-09 in the country with subtle cosmetic updates. The 2018 MT-09 is priced at Rs 10.88 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).
The newly launched Yamaha MT-09 receives only cosmetic updates in the form of new colour schemes. The overall design of the motorcycle remains identical to the previous model.
The 2018 Yamaha MT-09 will be offered in three new colour schemes - Bluish Gray Solid, Deep Purplish Blue and Matte Dark Gray. The motorcycle will be retailed through select dealerships across the country.
On the design front, the new MT-09 remains identical to the outgoing model. The motorcycle features an aggressive design with dual headlamp setup at the front and muscular fuel tank. The MT-09 will come to India through CBU (Completely Built Unit) route.

The new Yamaha MT-09 draws power from an 847cc liquid-cooled, three-cylinder engine producing 113.4bhp and 87.5Nm of torque. The engine is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox.
The Yamaha MT-09 is being targeted towards those people who are looking for an upgrade from 500-600cc motorcycle to above 800cc naked motorcycle. Currently, Yamaha has a limited offering in the superbike segment, but the company states that it is working on introducing new performance motorcycles in India.

Yamaha has introduced the new iteration of the MT-09 with new colour options. Mechanically, the motorcycle remains the same as compared to the outgoing model. The new Yamaha MT-09 will lock horns with the likes of Triumph Street Triple RS and Kawasaki Z900.
