2018 Bajaj Dominar 400 Spotted — Gets New Colour Option
Bajaj is all set to launch the 2018 Dominar 400 in the Indian market with several cosmetic updates.
Indian motorcycle manufacturer Bajaj Auto is readying a slew of new products which are expected to be launched in the country in 2018.
But ahead of that, the Pune-based company is all set to introduce the 2018 iteration of its flagship offering, the Dominar 400. ThrustZone has spotted the motorcycle with few cosmetic updates.
Bajaj launched the Dominar 400 in India in December 2016, and since one year, the motorcycle is not doing well in the market as expected by the Pulsar maker. Bajaj is now trying to capture the market by introducing the 2018 variant of the Dominar 400 in India with a slew of cosmetic changes.

The 2018 Dominar 400 has been spotted at Bajaj's Chakan plant without any camouflage. The overall design elements and body panels are identical to the currently sold model. The prominent change comes in the form of new Racing Red single-tone paint scheme.
The 2018 Dominar 400 also gets silver shade on the handlebar, perimetre frame, footpeg assembly, swingarm and split grab rails. The new silver accent renders the motorcycle a fresh looks as compared to the current model. Apart from that, there are no changes done to the sports cruiser.
Mechanically, the 2018 Bajaj Dominar 400 will draw power from the existing 373cc fuel injected, liquid-cooled engine producing 34.5bhp of power and 35Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox assisted by a slipper clutch for smooth down shifts.
Bajaj is also developing an all-new 400c DOHC engine which is expected to spawn a new brand in the company's lineup. The automaker will also launch the new 2018 Avenger with new design and features to compete with its modern rivals.
DriveSpark Thinks!
The Bajaj Dominar 400 created a lot of hype and transformed the performance bike segment with its affordable price tag. But the motorcycle failed to achieve the expected targets, and most of its sales come from the export markets. But now Bajaj is all set to launch the 2018 iteration of the sports cruiser in the coming months. The Dominar 400 will rival the likes of Royal Enfield cruisers, Mahindra Mojo and KTM Duke 390.
