Yamaha Saluto & Fascino Win 2016 India Design Mark Award
Yamaha Motors India has introduced several new products and discontinued a few models from its existing portfolio. The Japanese-based two-wheeler manufacturer has now won the India Design Mark Award for two if their models a scooter and a motorcycle.
The 125cc Saluto motorcycle and the all-new Fascino scooter have won the 2016 India Design Mark Award. It is the fifth time Yamaha has received the certification from India Design Council. The India Design Mark is done in partnership with Japan Institute of Design Promotion.
Saluto by Yamaha is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder engine producing 8.19bhp and 10.1Nm of torque. The Fascino receives a 113cc single-cylinder engine developing 7.1bhp and 8.1Nm of peak torque. Several new and exciting models are soon to launch by Yamaha in India.
Previously, Yamaha Motor India has received the India Design Mark Award since 2012. The YZF-R15 Version 2.0, Ray, Raz-Z, Alpha, and FZ-S fuel-injected version 2.0 models have won the award earlier. Yamaha motorcycles and scooters have always been good-looking and attractive models.
