TVS IQube To Launch In India As The First Hybrid Scooter
Manufacturers in India as well as in the international market are looking for ways to introduce new and improved methods of transportation. We all know that electric and hybrid vehicles are a step into the future.
Now TVS Motors, according to reports is keen to launch their very first hybrid scooter for the Indian market. The IQube is most likely to be launched in India by 2016-end. TVS has also applied for a trademark to protect IQube along with other hybrid nomenclatures.
The Qube concept was showcased at the 2012 Auto Expo in Delhi. TVS Motors will utilise the base for its soon to be launched IQube hybrid scooter. It is most likely to feature a 100cc single-cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor.
The hybrid scooter will also have riding modes for better riding experience. An economy, as well as a power mode, will be on offer to TVS IQube owners. Economy mode will make sure efficiency and range are given top priority. Power mode will use both electric and petrol motor for best results.
The scooter segment is huge in the Indian market and if hybrid scooters take off, it could be a revolution. Hybrid scooters could be an all-new segment and could revolutionise the way of transport.
