Alex Rins To Ride Alongside Andrea Iannone Onboard The Suzuki
Team Suzuki Ecstar have announced that Alex Rins will be their official rider for next season. A deal has been struck for two years, which in effect guarantees Rins a factory ride till the end of the 2016 MotoGP Championship.
Alex Rins will be partnering with Andrea Iannone in Team Suzuki Ecstar for the 2017 MotoGP season. Both riders have a similar contract to ride the Suzuki GSX-RR in MotoGP. The duo have never before ridden Suzuki machinery in MotoGP, so they will be equal on experience.
Iannone will have a slight edge as he has been in the MotoGP paddock for a while now. Rins on the other hand will be taking a step up from the Moto2 category. Team Suzuki Ecstar is proud to have the experience of Iannone and the hunger to win of Rins.
Unfortunately, Team Suzuki Ecstar will be bidding adieu to Aleix Espargaro. The Spaniard, however, has landed himself a deal to ride for the Aprilia Factory team next season. He will be teaming up with MotoGP rookie Sam Lowes, who is locked into a battle for the Moto2 crown with Alex Rins.
Currently, Maverick Vinales and Aleix Espargaro will do their very best to get Suzuki on podium as often as possible. Vinales is in exceptional form and will be hoping to move with similar style to Movistar Yamaha besides MotoGP icon and legend, Valentino Rossi.
