Suzuki Hayabusa Witnesses Boost In Sales Due To India Assembly
Suzuki Hayabusa was once upon a time the fastest road legal production motorcycle. Previously, the Hayabusa was imported into the country as a Completely Built Unit (CBU) and bore a price tag of Rs. 16 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).
Now, the Japanese-based two-wheeler manufacturer has commenced local assembly of the Hayabusa in India. Owing to the Hayabusa facing a semi-knockdown status, the bike witnessed a price reduction of Rs. 2.5 lakh. Now the Hayabusa has priced attractively at Rs. 13.57 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).
Previously, Suzuki Motorcycle India managed to sell the Hayabusa in small quantities. Post February 2016, Suzuki has witnessed a hike in Hayabusa sales. Approximately, the Japanese-based manufacturer has witnessed a hike of 150 percent in terms of sales.
During March 2016, Suzuki sold 18 units of the Hayabusa. In April and May 2016, Suzuki witnessed sales of thirteen and seventeen units respectively. Suzuki Motorcycles India managed to sell fifteen units of the Hayabusa during June 2016.
In India, the Suzuki Hayabusa competes with the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R hyperbike. The Ninja ZX-14R is priced at Rs. 17.90 lakh ex-showroom (Mumbai). Both these bikes compete against each other for the title of 'Fastest Production Bike'.
