The GSX-R 150 is Suzuki's much anticipated fully-faired sports bike and the GSX-S 150 is a naked street bike. The test mules which was spotted earlier was heavily camouflaged, but not anymore. Suzuki has officially unveiled it's latest entry-level motorcycles in Indonesia.
The company also started accepting the bookings via it's micro-website for both GSX-R 150 and GSX-S 150. The amount to book the motorcycle is IDR (Indonesian Rupiah) 500,000, which is about INR 2,555.
The manufacturer offers the GSX-R 150 in five different colour options - Metallic Triton Blue, Titan Black, Stronger Red - Titan Black, Matte Black, and Brilliant White. And for the naked bike, there are 4 colour schemes - Metallic Triton Blue, Ice Silver, Stronger Red - Titan Black, and Matte Black.
The styling cues on the GSX-R 150 is inspired from its elder sibling, the GSX-R1000. The motorcycle gets a sharp design and sculpted tank. The GSX-S 150 also shares the styling with GSX-S1000.
Both the motorcycles have LED headlights and get split seats. The dimension and sizes of the motorcycles are similar but the fairing on the GSX-R 150 makes it look wider.
Other features include Electric Start/Stop system, fully digital instrument console with LED lights.
Powering the motorcycles is a 147.3 cc water-cooled single cylinder engine with fuel injection system. The motor produces 18.2 bhp of power at 10,000 rpm and 13.8Nm of peak torque at 8,500 rpm.
For now, Suzuki has no plans to launch these motorcycles in India. The GSX duo will be a good upgrade for Gixxer 150 users. We can expect Suzuki to launch both the motorcycles in the first quarter of 2017.
